Net Set GO
Net Set GO! is Netball Australia’s Junior Netball to
provide children from the age of 5 to 11 years with the best possible learning and playing experience that enables them to develop a positive introduction to Netball. This
then ensures enjoyment and continued participation within the sport. It incorporates the modified junior programs FunNet, and Netta into a fun and safe ten
week program.
The program incorporates skill activities, minor games and modified matches and will be coordinated by an accredited coach to ensure a quality experience for all participants. Participants must turn 5 prior to 31st December in each year. Activities are aimed at learning and developing movement (run, jump etc.); hand eye coordination (catch, throw); and coordination (balance, spatial awareness etc.).
The program focuses on the development of motor skills and confidence through fun and structured games.Participation is in a safe learning environment. It assists in the reduction of social health issues, such as childhood obesity, through physically active involvement. The program is fun for all participants, regardless of ability. It leads to increased junior participation and lifelong involvement in an active lifestyle. This is a ten week program run during school terms and generally held twice a year inline with our winter and spring seasons. This program is held on the indoor courts at Sportlink.
